Active since 1982, Théâtre Varia - now led by Coline Struyf - continues its work in contemporary creation while expanding into new uses. This evolution is built on a collaboration with The Good Place, which manages event operations (guest services, bar, catering) and supports the development of professional event formats.
This public-private partnership is designed to sustainably activate cultural venues: opening them up to new uses while preserving their artistic mission. Part of the revenue generated from rentals is reinvested into creation, including production, equipment, and artist support. This model allows the venue to remain vibrant, while hosting a wider range of events.

In mid-2025, after prior consultations with various stakeholders on the ground, the European Parliament launched a pre-feasibility study for an energy network around its buildings and in connection with the surrounding district. In November, a conference with experts on the theme of energy networks and low-emission districts was organised. Many people attended the conference, including representatives of the European institutions, neighbours, local and regional authorities and network players. A subsequent workshop was organised with the same actors and the engineering office in charge of pre-feasibility, to reflect on more operational aspects and questions requiring an answer. This workshop allowed the various actors to meet and share their experiences, ideas and ambitions with enthusiasm. The workshop will be followed by additional thematic workshops.

At the initiative of the Carrefour Jean Monnet Merchants' Association ACCJM and NOSTE, Brussels will welcome several members of the Moomins and celebrate the characters with a Moomin Parade on Saturday 9 May 2026. The parade will start from Square Ambiorix at 14:00. Before and after the parade there will be a variety of activities, starting at 10:00 on Square Ambiorix and rue Archimède, as well as at the Pavi'ON house in Cinquantenaire Park. The programme will be updated and found on the website. Feel free to reveal your favourite Moomin character and dress up! There will be rewards for the best efforts.
On Monday 13 April, the Press Club Brussels Europe hosted the official launch of the Brussels Press Officers Circle, a new initiative bringing together communication professionals working at the crossroads of diplomacy and media in Brussels. Designed as a platform for exchange and collaboration, the Brussels Press Officers Circle aims to foster connections among communication professionals, encourage the sharing of best practices, and promote dialogue on the evolving relationship between diplomacy and media. It was organised in close cooperation with the Brussels-Capital Region and is part of a broader effort to strengthen connections between the Region and the international diplomatic community. The launch gathered more than 100 participants from embassies, European institutions, companies, and NGOs. As a joint initiative of the international press associations based in Brussels, the Brussels-Capital Region and visit.brussels. Over the past 15 years, the Press Club Brussels Europe has become a major European communication hub and Europe’s most active Press Club.
